An off-duty corrections officer opened fire on a man in East Flatbush, police sources said.
Detectives are investigating the shooting at the corner of Utica Avenue and Clarendon Road around 1:10 p.m., today.
The unidentified victim, who is in his mid-30s, was struck in the left side of his chest and rushed to Kings County Hospital, sources said. His condition was not immediately known.
It was not clear what made the 32-year-old correction officer fire his weapon, source said.
